I had the distinct honor of moderating a panel discussion on ableism, featuring Jasmine as one of the key speakers. Her remarkable depth of knowledge and personal insights transformed the conversation into something both enlightening and impactful. Jasmine adeptly articulated the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities while consistently offering actionable solutions, which was truly inspiring.
Throughout the discussion, her passion for inclusivity and equality shone through, as she engaged the audience with genuine empathy and authenticity. Jasmine's contributions didn’t just inform us; they inspired us to take significant steps toward a more inclusive society.
I am deeply appreciative of her commitment and the positive change she promotes in our society. Learning from her was a privilege, and I eagerly anticipate the ongoing influence of her important work.

The purpose of this class was to dive deep into the perceivable principle of the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We practiced writing alternative text for political campaign images and I demonstrated some of my favorite video captioning apps. I also showed the class how to test color contrast, write accessible links and select fonts/font sizes.
Dr. Jasmine graciously answered questions about her life's journey, talking to us about the beautiful nuances of the d/Deaf community, the peace of occasional silence and why accommodations wouldn't be necessary if we made the world a more accessible place. Thanks again for joining us, Dr. Jasmine!
